Abstract
The following article shows the significant advances that have been made in research on the acquisition of mathematical competencies, clarifying the research problem, the research rationale and the different methodological aspects of the research to be carried out. In this sense, taking into account Hurtado (2010), the research approach will be based on the Holistic Comprehension of Science, on the Holopraxic Method (Holistic spiral) and on a Projective type of Research.
The theoretical support of competencies in general and mathematical competencies will focus nthe following authors: De Zubiría (2006, 2014), Tobón et al (2006), Tobón (2013), Perrenoud (2012), Romero (2019), D’amore et al (2008) y Solar et al (2014). These researchers indicate how competencies should be worked on, and the way in which different thoughts are articulated to obtain a broad and integrative comprehension of mathematical competencies, based on the three dimensions /synergies) of competencies (cognitive, socio-affective and praxical). Therefore, by being able to integrate the different elements, characteristics, factors and associated conditions that are present in the formation process (teaching, learning and evaluation), it will be possible to design a proposal from a holistic and integral perspective for the acquisition of mathematical competencies.
In short, the purpose of the proposal to be designed is to enable ninth grade students in rural áreas of educational institutions under the agricultural and livestock modality to be mathematically competent and to solve problems in their environment and context, based on the application of the different mathematical competencies that they acquire and develop in the learning environment.
