Abstract

The Impact of Cattle Exports on the Economic Growth of the Department of Cordoba since the entry into the free trade agreement (FTA) with the United States (USA). UU) is a project of great impact because it contributes to the search for strategies that project in the future an improvement in the livestock and livestock sector, on the other hand, it is described how the livestock sector is demanded by the United States and how Colombia responds to the demand for exports that it makes?, in such a way that it is possible to compare what are the conditions of competitiveness of the department of Córdoba in relation to the imports they make with the United States and that also allows to determine, if there are more exports or imports that are made in the livestock sector of the country, and in what way this sector benefits or harms the gross domestic product (GDP) and from what perspectives it benefits the large, medium and small cattle producers, both in the department of Córdoba and in the country.

Taking into account that livestock is a leverage sector for the country's economy, which makes an important percentage contribution in economic terms, employment among others that have high expectations for export, and that present a broad social prospect in the face of the situation that is presented, since the significant progress in this sector influences each of the processes that are carried out to execute actions and improve the processes that occur in the production and export of each of the relevant aspects in the livestock and / or livestock sector of the region and the country; making known the great advances that are generated at the national level throughout the livestock sector in technological, social, cultural and structural terms among others that contribute in some way to the economy of Colombia.
