Abstract
Scientific journals have played an important role in the historical record and dissemination of research in Latin America. This fact consists of a worldwide movement that requires significant growth in the quantity and quality of scientific journals.
Latindex (2021), which consists of a network of institutions that work in a coordinated manner to collect and disseminate serial scientific publications produced in Latin America, currently has 29,794 online journals.
